Where it all began....

I was spending the night at my friends house, Matt G, in Detroit Michigan.  Matt was reading a book called Astral Projection and on the front cover was a woman toggling between bodie; physical and astral; that were half naked. The discussion was sparked and I had asked Matt, "What are you reading?"  He explained to me about astral-projection and the mechanics behind the ability to leave the physical body. Immediately, this caught my attention, which pulled at my feelings and emotions as if I've done this before. With further explanation of Matt's experiences and past books that he read, the course was set for me to find out for myself if this existed or not and did it ever!

A few months later...

Prior of being introduced to out-of-body consciousness, all I thought about, 24/7, was having the experience.  Until now, I was falling into scepticism and was losing faith. Downstairs, in my brothers bedroom, I was reading a book entitled Out-Of-Body Experiences by Janet Lee Mitchell. I was mesmerised by the reading of this book and learning all about the scientific studies of other accomplished projectionists.  After awhile, I decided to place the book down, turn off the lights and take a nap.

Still on my mind, I was thinking about the book while trying to fall to sleep. I just couldn't shake it, I wanted to continue reading the book. I gave up trying to fall asleep and decided to read more of the book.  When I got up I felt sluggish; not with it at all; like I was drunk, but consciously aware. I looked around my brothers room, which I noticed the lights were on.  Also, when I looked at the bed I was sleeping on, there was a big red apple on the sheet covers. I thought to myself, "where did this come from?".  Anyway, I just ignored it and continued on. Next, I decided to put my shoes on my feet, and the funny thing is that I couldn't. For some reason, when I went to pick up the shoes, my hand just kept passing through them! 

Now I was upset and couldn't understand what was going on. I said to myself,  "Geez! This must not be my day!"  So I gave up trying to put the shoes on and decided to get the book.  Once I started floating towards the book, half way I felt the sensation of losing my balance and falling backwards which really scared me. All at once a deluge of thoughts flowed into my mind: "What will happen if I hit my head on the bedpost and my parents see me on the floor all covered in blood?, What if I make a loud noise?, What if I go to to the hospital?" I couldn't believe how scared I was.

Everything around me began to grow dark and, after that, I lost my awareness; finding myself, seconds later, waking up in darkness.  My heart was beating rapidly, I was covered in sweat and experienced loss of memory.  I ran for my life; out of my brothers room; running upstairs in a state of sheer fright, and towards my bedroom down the hallway.  Then my memory returned, which struck me down like lightning. I knew exactly what had happened!

* It was my first conscious Out-Of-Body Experience! *


Many, many, years later...

I am still actively projecting to this day -- learning, growing, and understanding more about the physical and spiritual levels of the OBE. My goals are to help people, locally and around the world, to explore OBE consciousness, and to develop a closer relationship to their faith and God.

I've got my associates degree in computer programming and IT certifications. I'm an IT consultant and run a business called CounterPoint. I'm also an accomplished classical / electric guitarist and music composer as well as being involved with my church "Marshill", in Grand Rapids Michigan.

I'm also a Hospice Volunteer of Michigan, giving of myself as a companion to the dying. It is an honor helping, assisting families of loved ones through their transition from physical death to after-life rebirth.

I feel and know that my spiritual experiences transformed my life into becoming a more caring, loving, and humanitarian person. The only conclusion that I can arrive at for all this to happen is 'God'. There is definitely a plan and God is guiding me through it.
